Petronass Jazz Performance At KLCC Concourse Area

It was an ok performance, in front of thousands of shoppers and 100 VIP guests on a late Saturday afternoon. Hazami belted out Jackson 5's Lean on Me and Never Can Say Goodbye, ELvis' Fever, Kata and Sonata Musim Salju.

The mics for the BV werent funtioning during the first half of the show. We had to scream, till one of the crew members came up to give different mics. The gay make-up artist for the show, pretending to be one of the VVIPs, sipping drinks and eating food, whom was later ushered out by the security guards did make a lot of 'euuww' expressions to us, to show that we sucked. What can we do? Dont blame us. Blame the sound engineer who wasnt doin his job. He was more into tasting al the cocktails and the mocktails and the tit bits backstage.

See how fabulous food and drinks can do to you?

Anyhow forget about the BVs. Hazami did great.

Concert Sure Heboh - Nilai 3

Stuck in the traffic, from Nilai toll plaza till the actual Nilai 3 site. Imagine nearly 2 hours in the same car with 3 crazy people - Hazami, Safri and Faris whilst eating KFC and Dunkin Donuts. Finally arrived at the backstage at 7pm.

Pretty awesome crowd. Great performances by everybody. By the time I arrived home, I cant think of nothin else apart fr the nice bed and my bolster busuk.

Recording for RTM's Shoe - MEMORY LANE

It was an ok affair. WE arrived right on time, 7p.m, then let the make-up artist put colors onto our faces and most of us did look more like opera singers. DIdnt complain much cause the make-up artist kept on sayin that we will look better with the lighting and stuff. Okkay.. comin from an RTM person... hmmm... i rest my case.

Nonetheless, the recording started really late and there were so sign of the producers till 10pm. 6 songs altogether. So imagine between rehearsal, pre-recording and real recording, multiply by 6 songs. Was on the verge of losing my voice by the 5th song.

Hazami did great. The BVs gig great too.

Hazami's Bday Dinner 2006

It was just a quiet, yet fun dinner party, attended by 15 close friends at Coca, BSC. Not to fret, he will be holding another party for all friends on the 9th March 2006 alongside the ceremony for his fan club. tata

AJL 20 - Anugerah Juara Lagu 5 Feb 06 - Evolusi berterusan? Heh

It took us 2 solid months to practise. It was pretty challenging for me this time. I had to really dance (yeah!) and sing at the same time. Choreographed dancing ok. Im only used to swing left and right and do my own freestyles.

I have been doing backing vocal for Hazami since 2002. Yes the good old days, gracing clubs like No Black Tie and Orange, bla this and bla that. Those days were fun as we were all pretty broke but the fun will never stop I guess hehe.

Anyway, Hazami took over the damn small stage (yea it looked huge fr the tv screen but its so small) with Kata, backed by 30-member choir and 7 back-up vocals including Tria (Winner of Audition), Farisz (Top 12 Malaysian Idol), Jimmy (2nd Runner Up Audition) and the not so famous BVs like me kehehe. Congratulations to all of you. Your voices are like angels. Your voices has helped Hazami won Best Vocal Performance. 4 thumbs up (sekali ngan kaki nyer) to my lovely choir boys and soprano girls.

Congratulations to Hazami for winning Pop Rock Category and Best Vocal Performance. Dont care what people say, he deserved to win. He practised really hard for this and Im so proud of him.Gemilang was expected to win. Its a pretty good song. Very strong message, melody and rhythm and also suitable singer. Nonetheless, I still think Jac did overdo her voice a bit too much. I prefer the original style and perhaps she should've sounded bit more 'melayu' la cause everybody at the back, including the crew, beezeebodies and the pakciks@makciks kept on critisicing on why she has to use matsalleh's slang. Well she speaks perfect BM to me anyway. Should be another tip for her to be a superstar. Yes she can go very far with that voice.

I loved Ning's performance. Simple, yet full of expression. Zainal may have angered pencinta hidupan liar semalaysia and perhaps Bomba. Mawi's performance was ok la but not good enough to win. Bad choreography and not in tune with Mawi's style. But its 50% SMS kan. What to do. But he's a good guy (hensem gak face to face woohoo). Its just the fanatic fans. Rohana Jalil's dancers look like corpses. Scared the shit outta me backstage. Noraniza Idris' dancers looked like bakul anyaman yang dah nak rosak hehe. Our performance was pretty good but not good enough to win the viewers at home. Better luck next time. VE flopped like rotten pie. Adam improved a lot but he should've concentrated more on his singing. Azharina was pretty ok. Very powerful vocal but guess the song didnt do the justice to her vocal ability that much. I think meeting Sam of Innuendo was pretty awesome. I requested him to sing me a song and he did! what a voice.

Back to backstage story.Since the make-up room was so damn crowded, I had to sacrifice a lot of my make-up stuff. Yes I had to make-up most of the choir members and the BVs. I didnt bring the standard make-up products fr Maybelline and Silky Girl cause I thought Im goin to do my own make-up at the comfort of the hotel room while the rest of the boys will queue at the make-up room. So I only brought my MACs. After 15 people, my own make-up pon tak buat lagi... already 8pm... aiyohhh nanti abis la make up niiiii dah la mahalllll... hehe just kidding... Perhaps I shall start bein a make-up artist soon haha..

Ok enjoy the photos...

DANIL AND LISA'S KL WEDDING RECEPTION 26 NOV 05 SATURDAY

WEDDING RECEPTION OF DANIL HIEFNIE ABDUL AZIZ AND JULISA JOEHARI

26 NOVEMBER 2005 (SATURDAY)
8.00 P.M
DEWAN MPAJ PANDAN INDAH

note: these photos are contributed by friends and family. the professional photos will be uploaded soon!)

Alhamdulillah the whole ceremony went rather well. About 800 guests graced our reception that night. It was nice to see my UK housemates, old unimates from Chichester Uni, Chichester seniors, high school mates, lepak mates from IRC, friendsters, myspace ( oh yea im a nutty internet freak), Cyberjaya officemates, ex-colleagues and obviously my whole family there.

It was indeed such an exhausting day as I was still at the hall acting as a supervisor till 6pm since the whole preparation was initiated by me. Just wanted to see things are done my way. Thats a special trademark inherited from my dad haha! I got so caught up with the hall preparation that I totally forgot that I'm supposed to get ready by 6pm! Thank god by the time I reached the junctionof my house I saw Nurul Syukor just got out of her car.

Thank you to all who attended. I am trully mesmerised by all of you. At first I was so nervous and scared that some might forget. What a horrible feeling it would be if only 10 tables are full.. But then....Oh! No. The moment I stepped into the hall, I got panic attacks it was so FULL and I can see ALL OF YOU!

Thank you and God Bless.

Majlis Akad Nikah - Danil Hiefnie and Julisa Joehari -Alor Setar

The ceremony began at about 9.00a.m. The JuruNikah a.k.a Tok Kadi was such a professional but funny man, as he knows when and what to ask and he includes jokes that eased off Danil's gabraness. Nonetheless, everybody agreed that Danil is pretty great in answering his questions tho there was a slight accent barrier ( not language barrier, mind you!). He asked pretty heavy questions before he finally proceeded to the Akad Nikah session.

Only with 1 lafaz, I became his permanent soulmate, hopefully for the rest of my life, Insyaallah. The ceremony was very beautiful, yet simple, done at Masjid Al Rafaah nearby my house in Alor Setar. Danil looked great that day. Perhaps I should buy him more whities hehe.. Alhamdulillah everything went well.

Love, Lisa

STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY

We stumbled upon their booth on one of our aimless outing to Ampang Point like a month ago. It was such a lousy Bridal Fair anyway but we managed to grab a good bargain for a studio photography package at Princess Bridal Gallery, Jalan Ipoh. It was quite a long way from Ampang but it was well worth it cause everybody says that its so so cheap. Lucky us. I still wish that I'd have booked Saiful Nang @ Candid syndrome much earlier as I love his creations. But he was fully booked. humm...

We took the 4 sets of costumes but I didnt upload the rest as Danil says he's a bit malu la. Typical of Danil So these are some of the photos. They have extensive collections of bridal wear and thank god the make-up artist is pretty in tune with the latest trends of au naturale style. I have seen my colleagues' and friends' studio photography pictures and the make up is so horrendously appalling! Bruised eyes, damn red cheeks, super pink lipstick, dreadful old, obsolete wigs and so on! Those studio photography nightmares!

Anyhow, these are the results and I'm quite happy with it tho it was such a long day! Phew...
